Are you looking for things to do with the whole family? What about a corn maze near me? Sweetfields Farm is just an hour north of Tampa and you can easily spend a few hours of fun on the farm – get lost in a 6 acre maze, pet and feed animals, go on a hayride, play in their treehouse playground or pick your own vegetables and flowers!
We discovered this hidden gem while visiting family who lives nearby. In South Florida we’ve been to Bedner’s Farm many times, but are blown away by Sweetfields Farm size and the amount of activities for the whole family to take part in.

Explore the sprawling fields adorned with blooming flowers, and witness the beauty of sunflowers swaying in the gentle breeze.
Sunflower Maze
One of the main attractions – Get lost in the 6 acre sunflower maze, where the flowers are 10 feet tall.

The maze design changes every year; this year’s maze was of a record player and a chick. It took my family almost an hour to complete the maze. It’s challenging but we were determined and conquered it!
Within the maze, are questions that help you find your way out. Halfway through there is an emergency exit if you feel like throwing in the towel!

U-Pick Flowers & Vegetables
Expect a field of bright vibrant colored Zinnias and Sunflowers your family can pick and build your own bouquet. The flower fields are also great photo opp.

For the freshest produce you can pick from many of the different vegetables Sweetfields has to offer: Green Beans, Lettuce, Radishes, Chard, Peppers, Pink-eye Peas, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Fresh Herbs, Watermelons, Blackberries, and a variety of Squash.

Children can enjoy interactive farm tours, where they can pet and feed friendly farm animals like pigs, goats, chicken, and even a large tortoise. Feed Rosie the cow cucumbers or try lassoing the fake cow nearby.

The farm’s playground is a tree house at the base of a large shaded oak tree featuring swings, slides, teeter-totters and climbing structures that will keep kids entertained.

Tumbleweed Rollers
Try walking, running, or even rolling your body to get the giant tubes to move. These remind me of human sized hamster wheels that move – kids loved it!
