Bedner’s Farm Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival

If you live in South Florida and are looking for Fall Festivals, Bender’s Farm is a must. It’s likely 90 degrees outside but Bedner’s is the closest experience you’ll find to a northern pumpkin patch. Growing up in Michigan, I miss Fall the most and this place gives me a bit of that northern comfort. Bedner’s Farm is much more than just a traditional pumpkin patch -pick your own sunflowers, get lost in the corn maze, feed animals and even hop with kangaroos!

Pumpkin patch

The patch is rows and rows of bright orange pumpkins nestled on cucumber vines. Yes, cucumber vines. The Michigan in me spotted it immediately the first time I ever came. After learning that pumpkins don’t do well in heat over mid 80s, I embraced the misfit vines as it does look pretty! People come to visit just to take photos with the pumpkin patch.

Corn maze

Get lost in the corn maze! This isn’t an easy maze, it took a large group of us 25 minutes to get out. Lurking around each dead end, is a not-so-creepy zombie cut out – kids love it.

Cut your own sunflowers

If you’re looking for more fall photoshoot ideas, take family pictures in the sunflower field. There are hundreds! You can actually grab a pair of clippers at the field entrance and cut your own sunflowers to bring home for a couple of bucks. The sunflower upick season is from October – April.

Bedner’s Farm petting zoo

One of the main reason my kids want to come is to see all the animals! Pet and feed goats, donkeys, cows, and llamas. Up close, see skunk, otters, birds, lemurs, and sloths. Pay $15 more and you can get into the kangaroo enclosure! Feeding the animals costs extra but it’s worth it.

Tractor rides

The covered tractor ride goes throughout the farm and you’ll learn about Bedner’s rich history and fun farm facts. Keep your eyes peeled for gators nearby, we saw two this past trip!
